Job Description & How to Apply Below

You enter a facility and immediately identify what's wrong - the ceiling tile hanging loose that wasn't reported, the HVAC unit making noise for days, the landscaping contractor who completed half the work but submitted a full invoice. You don't wait for complaints to arrive. You fix problems before they become visible.

That awareness defines this position. 2 Hour Learning runs premium K-12 facilities where families expect an environment that is safe, reliable, and visitor-ready at all times - not only when events are scheduled. You will maintain that expectation throughout the Northeast:
Manhattan serves as your home base, with frequent visits to locations in CT, MA, and PA. Your performance determines whether a campus maintains a premium standard or slowly deteriorates between leadership inspections.

Year one focuses on establishing standards and vendor accountability - defining what "ready" means, building the inspection schedule, removing underperforming vendors, and training Campus Coordinators and Site Specialists to follow a consistent operational rhythm. As the region expands and your framework matures, the role evolves into ongoing regional oversight: you become the operator the organization relies on when launching a new campus, responding to crises, or revising operational standards.

This is an on-site role. If you prefer managing remotely through reports, this position isn't suitable. If you want full responsibility for keeping 25+ schools operating at a premium level every day - and the autonomy to deliver that outcome - continue reading.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Performing scheduled on-site inspections throughout Northeast locations against documented standards covering cleanliness, HVAC, safety, security, signage, landscaping, furniture, and visitor-readiness — and ensuring findings are addressed with verified corrections
  • Responding to facility problems and emergencies, coordinating contractor support, and closing requests only after confirming resolution (urgent within 24 hours, standard within 1 week)
  • Overseeing regional contractor performance relative to service agreements, terminating contracts with repeat failures, renegotiating terms, and conducting direct accountability discussions regarding quality and pricing
  • Establishing a weekly operational cadence with Campus Coordinators and Site Specialists to ensure all campuses follow standardized procedures rather than reactive responses
  • Directing significant campus improvement projects (HVAC replacement, interior updates, landscaping, AV/networking infrastructure) delivered on time and within budget while minimizing student impact
  • Documenting enterprise standards and AI-supported procurement frameworks (utilizing ticketing platforms, IoT/predictive maintenance systems, and centralized vendor sourcing) to ensure uniform campus launch and operations
  • Delivering clear weekly written updates covering regional quality metrics, vendor performance, escalated issues, and capital expenditure tracking
What You Won’t Be Doing
  • Operating remotely via dashboards - this position demands regular on-site presence in Manhattan and 20-40% travel across regional campuses (CT, MA, PA)
  • Leading new campus design or managing ground-up construction projects - capital expansion is handled by a separate team
  • Establishing company-wide procurement policies independently from field operations - your standards emerge from direct site observation
  • Working within clean organizational structures with direct authority over all stakeholders - you'll create accountability through documentation, written follow-through, and rejecting ambiguous vendor commitments
  • Treating "visitor-ready only during leadership tours" as acceptable - persistent problems are analyzed for root causes, not simply re-reported
  • Operating primarily in reactive crisis mode - the inspection schedule and predictive maintenance tools exist to identify failures before they generate complaints
