This role is responsible for preparing accurate, competitive cost estimates for infrastructure projects such as roads, highways, bridges, utilities, earthworks, and site development. Description Estimator
- Civil Construction Analyze project plans, specifications, and contract documents to develop comprehensive cost estimates Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs for civil construction components (earthwork, grading, drainage, paving, utilities, structures) Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids for completeness and competitiveness Develop conceptual, preliminary, and final estimates based on project phase Identify risks, cost drivers, and value engineering opportunities Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field personnel to validate assumptions and constructability Maintain and update cost databases, historical pricing, and unit cost benchmarks Prepare bid packages and participate in bid review meetings MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.

- Civil Construction Education Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred) Equivalent industry experience considered Experience 3-10+ years of estimating experience in heavy civil construction Proven experience with projects such as:
Roadway and highway construction Site development and grading Utility installation (water, sewer, stormwater) Bridges or structural concrete (preferred) Technical Skills Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., HCSS Heavy Bid, Bluebeam, Viewpoint, Sage Estimating, or similar) Strong understanding of civil drawings, specifications, and geotechnical reports
Experience with quantity takeoff tools and spreadsheets General knowledge of Building and Construction codes Job Offer Competitive salary Excellent benefits package, including 401(k), PTO, and comprehensive health coverage.
