Construction Superintendent – Affordable Housing Renovations
Greater Hartford, CT
$150,000 – $170,000 Base Salary + Benefits
Are you an experienced Construction Superintendent looking to join a well-established General Contractor with a strong pipeline of affordable housing projects throughout the Greater Hartford area?
We are partnering with a respected Connecticut General Contractor that specializes in the renovation and modernization of occupied and vacant affordable housing communities. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee multiple residential rehabilitation projects.
The RoleAs Construction Superintendent, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.
Typical projects include:
- Affordable housing renovations
- Bathroom renovations
- Boiler and mechanical system replacements
- Window and door installations
- Roofing and exterior improvements
- Common area upgrades
- Unit turnovers and occupied housing renovations
- Manage all on-site construction activities from start to finish.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel.
- Maintain project schedules and ensure milestones are achieved.
- Conduct quality control inspections throughout each phase of construction.
- Enforce OSHA safety standards and maintain a safe working environment.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Owners, Inspectors, and Housing Authorities.
- Resolve field issues quickly while maintaining project timelines.
- Complete daily reports and maintain accurate project documentation.
- 5+ years' experience as a Superintendent with a General Contractor.
- Experience delivering multifamily, affordable housing, residential renovation, or occupied rehabilitation projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction sequencing and field operations.
- Ability to manage multiple subcontractors simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- OSHA certification preferred.
- Valid driver's license.
