Call Center Customer Service Rep

We are hiring Call Center Customer Service Representatives to work in a large transportation department. The assignment is to work with Capitol Region Education Council (CREC) in Hartford, CT.

Indicate shift preference, but it is not guaranteed, based on the department needs:

• PM SHIFT 12:30 pm - 8:00 pm
• Mandatory Overtime, as required during peak periods

$17.25 per hour

• 1 year Call Center Customer Service Experience
• 1 year Office Experience
• Heavy Call Volume (Inbound & Outbound)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
• Ability to work individually and in a team environment
• Ability to work mandatory overtime
• Satisfactory background results required

• Serve as customer service representative to parents and school districts with transportation needs
• Process transportation change requests and complaints from parents and schools
• Work as a liaison between parents, schools and transportation providers
• Resolve logistical issues to ensure safe and timely transportation
• Maintain records for the transportation department including: student roster, route sheets, transportation changes, alternate schedules, accident reports, database, etc.
• Assist with Choice (K-3) students when their parents fail to meet them at the bus stop
• Assist director of Transportation and Transportation Manager as needed
• Adherence to all school, district, state and Board of Education regulations, law and policies pertaining to duties, conduct, confidentiality, security and ethics.
