Project Manager, Architect ​/ Sr. Architect

Provides leadership for the successful delivery of medium- to large-scale and/or complex architectural projects. Manages and develops internal production teams through mentorship, technical leadership, and project oversight. Guides projects through all phases of design and construction while coordinating clients, consultants, and project teams.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
• Minimum of ten (10) years of professional architectural experience, with progressively increasing project management responsibilities.
• Architectural licensure preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated experience managing medium- to large-scale architectural projects through all phases of design and construction.
• Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, staffing, and project workflow management.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultant teams, including structural, civil, MEP, landscape architecture, and specialty consultants.
• Thorough knowledge of construction documentation, building systems, detailing, and construction administration.
• Working knowledge of applicable building codes, accessibility requirements, and permitting processes.
• Experience with multifamily housing, affordable housing, mixed-use, commercial, municipal, and historic preservation projects preferred.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Bluebeam Revu, and project management software.
• Excellent management, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while balancing competing priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to mentor staff, foster collaboration, and maintain positive client and consultant relationships.

Responsibilities:

• Manage medium- to large-scale architectural projects from programming and schematic design through construction administration.
• Develop, monitor, and maintain project schedules, budgets, staffing plans, and project workflows.
• Lead project teams to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.
• Coordinate and communicate with clients throughout all phases of project delivery in collaboration with firm leadership.
• Coordinate consultants, including structural, civil, MEP, landscape architecture, and specialty disciplines, ensuring timely, accurate, and coordinated deliverables.
• Perform quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) reviews of project documents and specifications.
• Oversee preparation of construction documents, permitting submissions, bidding documents, and construction administration services.
• Conduct project meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal project teams.
• Coordinate with municipal agencies, building officials, planning and zoning departments, and regulatory authorities as required.
• Identify project risks, develop solutions, and proactively resolve project issues affecting scope, schedule, or budget.
• Mentor architectural staff by providing technical guidance, project oversight, and professional development opportunities.
• Maintain and promote office standards, quality control procedures, and project delivery best practices.
