Position: Locum MD (Medical Doctor) Radiology

Description

This on-site, contract position offers an excellent opportunity for medical professionals looking to make a significant impact in the medical practice industry while working in a supportive environment.

As a Locum MD in Radiology, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services. Your expertise will help guide treatment decisions and ensure optimal patient care. This role is essential in maintaining the high standards of our medical practice, and you will collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to deliver the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct and interpret various imaging studies, including X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs
  • Collaborate with referring physicians to provide insights on imaging results
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards in radiology
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
  • Document findings accurately in patient records
  • Provide support and guidance to junior staff and radiology technologists
  • Stay updated on advancements in radiology techniques and technologies
  • Maintain effective communication with patients to explain procedures and address concerns
Requirements
  • Medical degree (MD) from an accredited institution
  • Board certification in Radiology
  • Valid medical license to practice in the state of Connecticut
  • Strong understanding of imaging techniques and protocols
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Experience in a clinical or hospital setting is preferred

Level I Trauma & Stroke Center

Flexible Scheduling:
Day, night, or swing shifts

Onsite or remote coverage options

Shifts available at multiple reputable facilities

Skillsets:
Light IR, diagnostic, mammo, cardiac, or nuclear medicine

Board certification is required

Paid travel accommodations for onsite coverage

Workstations provided for remote coverage
