About the Position
We are seeking a Board-Certified Hematology/Oncology Physician for a locum assignment in the Hartford, Connecticut area. This opportunity offers a 6–12 month assignment with the possibility of extension, providing both inpatient consult coverage and outpatient clinic services.

Schedule:

3–4 clinic days per week (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)

Infrequent weekend and night call (approximately 1:10 nights; 2–3 weekends per year)

Practice Details:

Adult and geriatric patient population

80% Hematology / 20% Oncology

Inpatient consults and outpatient clinic setting

Approximately 10 patients per day (hospital) and 15 patients per day (clinic)

Collaborative team of 10 physicians and 8 advanced practice providers

EMR:
Epic

Level I Trauma environment

Reason for coverage:
Leave of absence

Estimated credentialing timeframe:
Approximately 130 days from accepted offer

This is an excellent opportunity for a provider seeking a structured schedule within a well-supported, team-based environment.

Requirements

Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology –  Required

Active Connecticut medical license  in hand at time of submission – No exceptions

Self-Query NPDB report (dated within the same month as submission) –  Required

Local candidates strongly preferred (no flights)

Ability to provide weekend and night call coverage as scheduled

Experience with Epic EMR preferred
