About the Position
Hospital is looking for a full-time locum Cardiothoracic Surgeon to cover 3–6-month assignment with potential to extend further into 2026.

Dates of Coverage:  Feb/March for 3–6-month assignment, with potential extension into 2026 and perm hire.

Reason for Coverage:  LOA and departure

Practice Setting:  Hospital Based-all inpt-OR//ICU/Rounding of patients in ER and floors

Schedule (Shifts and Hours):  M-F 8AM-5PM Call

Schedule:

nights and weekends- TBD- aprox 7-8 calls per month

Call Ratio:  3 providers taking call

Average Number of Cases Per Day:  2 cases per day

Trauma Level/Designation:  Level One

Annual ER Volume:  85,000 per year

Number of Operating Rooms:  3

Documentation System/EMR:  EPIC

Description of Ancillary Staff:  Full complement Adult and Geriatric

Certification Requirement:  BLS and ACLS

Required:

Descending Aortic Aneurysms, CABG, Off-Pump CABG, Arterial Revascularization
-Using Internal Mammary Arteries, Radial Artery and Gastroepiploic Artery, Redo Coronary Revascularization, Tube Thoracostomy, Pericardial Window, Thoracic aortic aneurysms, Heart Valve Repair/Replacement Surgery, Core Valve® System, Mitral Valve Repair

Requirements
