Job Description:
Jumoke Academy is seeking a Band/Music Teacher for our middle school scholars from Grades 5-8.
This is a 10-months full-time position for the remainder of the current school year with a potential to renew for the following academic year.
A $1,500 sign-on incentive is offered for the successful candidate!
Qualifications:
* Must hold at least a Bachelor's Degree relevant to the subject area (Music, Instrumental music, etc.)
* Must be proficient in playing the brass/ wood wind instruments (flute, trumpet, trombone, clarinet)
* Must be able to form a playing band in following a muisc curriculum.
* Preferably certified in teaching music in the State of CT or at least eligible to be certified by the CT State of Education.
Compensation is DOE and comes with full-time benefits.
