Jumoke Academy seeks motivated and innovative SPED (Special Education) certified teachers, who are committed to excellence for every child and will accept nothing less. These individuals must be highly motivated and mission‑driven; teachers who sweat the small stuff without losing sight of the big picture. The ideal teacher candidate will have a proven track record of:
- Driving for results
- Using data to drive and inform instruction
- Inspiring, engaging, and empowering students and families
- Establishing and maintaining a culture of high expectations
- Building effective relationships with students, families and peers
- Ensuring fidelity to curriculum, instructional excellence and best‑practices in assessment
- Certification/License: Appropriate CT State Certification
- Education: An accredited Bachelor's or Masters Degree
- Experience: At least three years of teaching experience at the intermediate elementary and middle school level.
School Principal
Terms of Employment and Work ScheduleTen month work year. Standard teacher work schedule, including attendance at professional development, open houses, parent conferences and staff meetings as needed.
Compensation is contingent on relevant experience, degree and certification. Full-time position that comes with benefits.
