This position is for the remainder of the school year.
EducationJumoke Academy seeks a Special Education teacher who is committed to excellence for every child and will accept nothing less. The teacher must be highly motivated and mission‑driven.
Responsibilities- Driving for results
- Using data to drive and inform instruction
- Inspiring, engaging, and empowering students and families
- Establishing and maintaining a culture of high expectations
- Building effective relationships with students, families and peers
- Ensuring fidelity to curriculum, instructional excellence and best practices in assessment
- Embracing the challenges facing urban schools with a mantra of "No Excuses" and a willingness to do "Whatever it takes."
- Certification/License: CT State Certification (265 or similar)
- Education:
An accredited Bachelor's or Master's Degree - Experience:
At least one year of teaching experience at the intermediate elementary level
This is a full‑time position.
