Substitute Teachers

Overview

We’re hiring for rewarding opportunities at CREC! CREC schools has partnered with Kelly Educational Staffing to recruit, train and provide qualified Substitute Teachers for our schools.

A Bachelor's degree is required.

If you do not hold a degree at this time but are currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in education and Connecticut teacher certification you may qualify for a district-sponsored waiver. To be considered for a waiver you must possess at least 60 credit hours, submit a district application and respond to our application questions regarding your plan of studies. Uploading a copy of your college transcripts to your application is required.

A representative from Kelly Services will follow up with you regarding your eligibility for consideration. If you qualify, Substitute Teacher Authorization must be obtained by the school district from the Connecticut State Department of Education prior to your employment as a substitute teacher.

Daily rate: $145/per day

Additional rates are determined based on long term and certified assignments

Kelly Educational Staffing is CREC's partner for the management of its substitute teacher program. Substitute teachers are employees of Kelly and undergo in-depth orientation and training. Kelly Educational Staffing employees have access to flexible work schedules, group insurance, and 401K retirement plan participation. Additionally, Kelly employees receive weekly pay, and can be eligible for end of school year monetary service bonus plan, recognition and incentive programs.

Kelly conducts several local workshops throughout the year to enhance classroom management skills.
