The drumline technician leads the drumline in planning, organizing, and executing all aspects of the fall marching band season. Duties include teaching at summer camp rehearsals, instructing/supervising the RHS RAM Band drumline/pit during band camp, instructing/supervising the RHS RAM Band drumline/pit during all fall marching band evening rehearsals and Saturday season camp days, instructing/supervising the RHS RAM Band drumline during away competitions and all home football games.
The drumline technician should be able to supervise/instruct students in all aspects of the drumline: playing with correct technique, playing with correct posture, marching with correct technique (crab marching), and teaching the students about proper care and maintenance of the marching drums. The RHS drumline instructor reports directly to/is under the direct supervision of the Rockville High School Director of Bands.
Hourly Rate: $16.94/hr
