Working under the supervision of the Placement Testing Specialist, the EA – Test Proctor provides direct support for students who utilize the Testing Center.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Prepare computer labs for testing, including sanitizing workstations and ensuring computers and testing software are functioning.
- Check in students with a college or government‑issued .
- Maintain a distraction‑free testing environment.
- Provide information about testing policies and procedures to students.
- Supervise students during testing to maintain test integrity.
- Associate degree in a related field and relevant work experience.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those with disabilities.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
- Prior experience in exam proctoring, academic testing environments, or nursing education.
- Familiarity with NCLEX‑style testing and nursing curriculum content.
- Knowledge of testing accommodations and ability to implement them accurately and confidentially.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain exam integrity, security, and confidentiality in high‑stakes testing environments.
- Ability to follow standardized procedures and enforce exam policies fairly and consistently.
- Comfortable using educational and testing platforms (e.g., Exam Soft/Examplify, Blackboard Ultra).
- Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, testing center staff, and administration.
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible to support scheduled exam times, including early mornings or extended testing periods into the afternoon.
$37.74 hourly.
Background Screening- Proof of eligibility to work under the Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA).
- Successful completion of a background check, including permission to contact previous employers, reference checks, criminal history, and, if applicable, credit or driving history checks.
