Part Time Paraprofessional – PIXI Program at KCS
A part-time position requires prior experience in a school setting working with young children. The position is 19.75 hours per week, 10 months per year. The successful candidate must have passed the Para Pro exam or hold an associate degree. The PIXI program is a school-based early intervention, and prevention program designed to enhance school-related competencies and reduce social, emotional, and school adjustment difficulties for children in pre-k through grade
3. This position requires strong interpersonal skills. The candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively with children, teachers, and school staff. They must show motivation, interest in program goals, a positive attitude toward school, an ability to work with a diverse group of students, good organizational skills, and the ability to work independently. Above all, they must enjoy working with children and learning about the child's social-emotional health and development.
