Intervention Specialist – Great Path Academy
Assists school administrators to provide leadership, guidance and professional development teachers and staff in the areas of effective instructional strategies, data‑driven decision making and effective intervention strategies.
Responsibilities- Guide the implementation of research‑based professional development in the areas of data‑driven decision making and effective teaching strategies.
- Assist in building staff capacity with the purpose of creating and sustaining effective data teams/grade level teams.
- Gather and analyze data, compile reports, as it pertains to school improvement planning.
- Assist in the development, implementation and ongoing support of effective intervention systems.
- Provide professional development in the area of teaching and learning to teachers and staff in intervention strategies.
- Coach Tier II and Tier III instructional intervention strategies through modeling with teacher teams.
- Perform all other duties as designated by the principal which may include direct instruction to students.
- Master's degree or higher in field of education.
- Enrollment in an approved Administrative Certification (092) program (preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years successful teaching experience.
- Experience as staff developer, facilitator, coach or mentor.
- Experience with modeling classroom pedagogy.
- Experience with the implementation of scientifically‑based instructional methods and best practices.
- Experience with the process of creating and sustaining effective data teams.
- Ability to participate at a high level in a collaborative professional learning community.
- Excellent technology skills with particular facility in Microsoft Word, Publisher, Excel & PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of Common Core State Standards, curriculum and content frameworks and assessments.
- Experience using electronic systems to track the progress of students/school and produce reports.
Current Connecticut certification in appropriate grade levels.
Salary and Terms of EmploymentSalary Grid:
In accordance with Hartford Federation of Teachers contract $55,643-$114,267.
Hartford Federation of Teachers (HFT).
