Are you frustrated by a system that prevents you from upholding the academic standards Springfield students need and deserve?

Alpha is opening a new campus in the city, and we're seeking a leader who knows Springfield's educational landscape firsthand. You will oversee a team of 15+ Guides who coach and motivate students while Alpha's EdTech platform delivers all instruction. No traditional teaching. High accountability. True leadership.

Your objective: guarantee that every student loves coming to school, learns at twice the pace of conventional classrooms, and develops essential life skills. This position is not a standard Principal role. You will maintain rigorous standards, make evidence-based decisions, and establish Springfield's top-performing school from the outset.

Lead with metrics. Coach for excellence.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Launch the Springfield, MA campus:
Execute Alpha's three core promises for 100+ students from day one with operational precision across all functions.
  • Facilitate live life-skills workshops for K-8 students:
Conduct dynamic one-hour sessions covering public speaking, growth mindset, and feedback exchange. Follow established Alpha protocols to ensure students develop skills overlooked by traditional schools while maintaining high engagement.
  • Drive every student to achieve 100% goal attainment:
Develop customized motivational strategies for individual students. Apply data-informed approaches to address resistance and sustain engagement with the Alpha platform. Success is measured by every student reaching their benchmarks.
  • Develop Guides to meet Alpha's performance standards:
Leverage data to pinpoint capability gaps, provide specific feedback, and monitor progress. Make difficult personnel decisions when standards are not met and model exemplary performance as the campus leader.
  • Execute data-informed leadership across campus operations:
Evaluate performance indicators for staff effectiveness, operational efficiency, parent engagement, and school culture. Identify issues, perform root cause analysis, engage stakeholders, and implement trackable interventions. Monitor outcomes and refine strategies continuously.
What You Won’t Be Doing
  • Teaching or tutoring students. Alpha's self-directed EdTech platform facilitates learning, not traditional adult-led instruction.
  • Creating lesson plans or curriculum materials. Alpha's operational playbook is fully developed. Your responsibility is execution and team leadership, not content design.
  • Overseeing budgets or recruitment processes. Finance and hiring are managed centrally. Your focus remains exclusively on campus outcomes and culture.
  • Serving as the content expert. This role is 80% leadership and engagement, 20% educational oversight. You motivate, the platform teaches.
