GEHMS Long Term Temporary Art Teacher

This position will start on August 25 with a tentative end date of January 18, 2027. Duties and responsibilities include arriving at 8:30 for morning duty at 8:40, planning projects and organizing supplies for implementing the National Core Arts Standards for pre K3-Grade 6 that prioritizes student choice, assisting the reading specialist in literacy groups as needed, teaching whole group Art classes Prek,k,1,2,3,4,5, collecting and storing materials, day ends at 3:45, collaborating with essentialist team during team meeting time allotted as well as attending staff meetings on Tuesdays from 3:45-4:45, modifying projects and materials for students with diverse abilities and needs, providing consistent expectations aligned with school rules, and facilitating in providing a safe, welcoming environment for students.

Requirements include CT Teacher Certification required, experience with elementary aged children, and teaching experience as well as professional experience or content knowledge in Art.
