AboutThe Role
War on Cost is seeking an Associate Project Engineer to support systems engineering, product change, and production incorporation activities for aircraft engine systems and components. This role plays a critical part in facilitating technical reviews, ensuring compliance with aerospace engineering standards, and supporting cost, quality, and reliability objectives in a highly regulated environment.
The Project Engineer acts as a central coordination point between systems engineering, product engineering, manufacturing, quality, and program teams, ensuring design and production changes are reviewed, documented, and implemented in accordance with engineering, configuration management, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate and support systems, product design change, and production incorporation reviews for aircraft engine hardware and systems
- Coordinate with Integrated Product Team (IPT) members across systems engineering, product engineering, manufacturing, and quality to identify reviewers, schedule reviews, and host review sessions
- Participate in technical reviews to ensure compliance with engineering requirements, aerospace standards, and program objectives
- Capture, document, and distribute meeting minutes, action items, decisions, and attendance records
- Update and maintain product configuration, engineering documentation, and electronic databases in accordance with configuration management practices
- Process and track post-review actions and engineering workflow requests in alignment with established standard work
- Monitor and drive closure of review actions, requirements, and corrective actions, ensuring completeness, traceability, and regulatory compliance
- Communicate effectively with internal engineering teams, manufacturing, and program stakeholders to support on-time execution of reviews and change implementation
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a related technical field OR 1–3 years of relevant experience in engineering, manufacturing, or a technical project support role
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent engineering requests and review activities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to facilitate technical meetings and reviews
- Experience using electronic collaboration and document management tools
- U.S. Citizenship required (ITAR compliance)
- Experience supporting aircraft and/or aircraft engine systems in an aerospace or regulated manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with engineering change management, configuration management, or production incorporation processes
- Experience working within PLM, PDM, or ERP systems
- Hands‑on experience with Teamcenter PLM, SAP ERP, and/or Share Point
- Background in aerospace manufacturing, systems engineering, or product engineering support
- Technical communication and cross‑functional collaboration
- Engineering documentation and configuration tracking
- Data management and database maintenance
- Meeting facilitation and action item tracking
- Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Office tools
- Virtual collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom)
- Attention to detail in regulated environments
