Supplier Quality Engineer (Junior)
Job SummaryThe Jr. Supplier Quality Engineer supports the supplier quality management process by maintaining and improving existing suppliers. This role works cross‑functionally to provide technical data that ensures effective coordination and execution of supplier quality projects for both U.S. and Foreign Operations. The position requires onsite presence at our Hartford, WI headquarters for three days per week and is not eligible for sponsorship.

- Establish and foster key relationships throughout the organization to enable effective performance and drive critical issues.
- Support New Product Development (NPD) supplier quality activities, including Product Parts Approval Process (PPAP) documentation, Supplier Readiness Reviews (SRR), and investigations through CAPAs and SCARs to resolution.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional multi‑site teams to identify supplier development needs through the SRR process and other qualification activities.
- Assemble post‑launch data, monitor item releases for revision effectiveness, and continually improve NPD processes.
- Execute and compile Supplier Readiness Reviews (SRRs), Qualification Audits, and other Supplier Development Activities.
- Learn and apply quality acceptance standards; verify consistency with current industry practices.
- Support sustaining activities by utilizing data sources to improve customer quality, collaborating with Group Sourcing, Engineering COEs, and Product Marketing leaders to resolve top supplier issues.
- Review Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and assist in cost‑down activities.
- Provide disposition of non‑conformances in a timely manner, ensure corrective and preventive actions are taken, and follow up to assess effectiveness.
- Support department APQP and problem‑solving technique trainings as required.
- Support Supplier Development and Improvement Activities.
- Associate’s degree or a minimum of 3 years of full‑time office experience.
- Successfully complete an Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) course.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Self‑management skills and ability to read prints.
- Understanding of basic statistics and Process Validation.
- Knowledge of Quality Systems (ISO 9001:2015) is an advantage.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of French and/or Spanish is an advantage.
- Up to 20% travel required; must be able to travel internationally.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership capability with the ability to shape and drive change.
- Strong problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work with teams and independently.
- Ability to work effectively onsite and with remote locations.
- Ability to multi‑task and drive critical issues simultaneously.
