Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic Facilities Manager to lead the safe and reliable operations of critical electrical systems within our data centers. Your leadership will ensure operational readiness and incident response, enabling continuous uptime while protecting our compute loads.

In this pivotal role, you will oversee the maintenance and operation of essential systems such as switch gear, UPS, batteries, generators, transfer switches, PDUs, grounding, and related monitoring platforms. Your focus will be on plant operations and field execution to maximize efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct the daily operations and maintenance of critical electrical infrastructure.
  • Act as the primary technical lead for all mechanical systems, managing incidents and escalations effectively.
  • Ensure plant readiness through proactive maintenance, testing, repairs, and outage management.
  • Lead a team of technicians and manage vendor performance, upholding safety and quality standards.
  • Oversee troubleshooting and restoration processes for electrical faults and operational incidents.
  • Enforce safe work practices and code compliance during all maintenance and switching operations.
  • Monitor and improve key performance indicators such as equipment availability and maintenance completion rates.
  • Collaborate with engineering and commissioning teams on project upgrades and new system rollouts.
  • Support root cause analysis for electrical issues, with careful tracking of corrective actions.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records for all operations, including audit‑ready procedures and reports.
  • Advocate for electrical safety practices, ensuring adherence to NFPA 70E and other relevant protocols.
  • Mentor technicians to enhance safety awareness, technical capabilities, and operational quality.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience leading electrical maintenance and operations in mission‑critical settings, such as data centers.
  • Deep knowledge of electrical systems including switch gear, UPS, batteries, and power distribution.
  • Experience managing maintenance programs and vendor relations in active environments.
  • Familiarity with EPMS, SCADA, BMS, and CMMS tools to streamline operations.
  • Experience with commissioning and transitioning new electrical systems is a plus.

  • Strong leadership in electrical safety and excellent operational judgment.
  • Able to manage high‑stress incidents with clear communication and poise.

Compensation and Benefits

$97,500 to $199,500, with eligibility for bonuses and equity, along with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision insurance, and retirement plans.
