RoleExpectations
- Develop and maintain project schedule and budget, and produce related reports.
- Generate periodic project controls reports (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly) by gathering, verifying, validating, and analyzing data, and distribute and archive reports as appropriate.
- Perform change control: track and manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and cost baseline; identify, assess, gain approval for, and distribute change requests, change notices and/or change orders in compliance with internal governance standards and contract terms.
- Assist in scheduling and carrying out benchmarking and self‑assessment initiatives relevant to project controls and typical projects managed by the controls group; identify and communicate improvement opportunities and best practices.
- Develop and maintain WBS, project schedules, and cost estimates; track cash flow reports, change control documentation, and other controls reports; perform variance, earned value, and critical path analyses appropriate to the project.
- Create and maintain project cost estimates with Estimators, ensuring inclusion of raw materials, resource rates, manufactured materials, equipment, and current industry data.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Finance, Business or equivalent.
- Five (5)+ years of experience in a Project Controls environment.
- Proficiency with scheduling tools (Oracle Primavera P6 preferred).
- Highly engaged self‑starter with problem‑solving initiative.
- Experience with Business Objects, MS Office Suite, Visio, Power Plan, Maximo, and Microsoft Project.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management and controls concepts, scheduling software, financial tools, and spreadsheets.
- Risk program control experience.
- Experience integrating multiple project schedules.
- Proficiency in analyzing, trending, and forecasting schedule information.
- Experience with earned value techniques.
- Database and reporting experience.
- Ability to work a hybrid schedule (Tuesday‑Thursday).
$115,000—$125,000 per year.
