- Water Services - (Fall 2026 Grads!)
CDM Smith is seeking an entry‑level Environmental, Water Resources, or Civil Engineer to join our Water Services Group. The role supports the design and implementation of water and wastewater treatment facilities, sewer systems, pipelines, and related infrastructure. Working under direct supervision, the engineer will ensure designs meet client specifications and comply with federal, state, and local regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:- Conduct site assessments and adjust design parameters as needed
- Perform water quality analyses and modeling
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for client meetings and industry conferences
- Assist in creating documents and presentations using ArcGIS, HEC‑RAS, SWMM, CADD, Excel, and other software
- Participate in fieldwork supporting construction management activities, providing a comprehensive project life‑cycle experience
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline. 0 years of experience required. Domestic and/or international travel may be required; frequency contingent on project demands. Equivalent directly related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Qualifications:Ideal candidate will be graduating August or December 2026 with a Fall 2026 start date.
Skills and Abilities:- Basic knowledge of computer‑assisted design and drafting (CADD) 3‑D and 4‑D software and practices
- Basic knowledge of engineering principles of design
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
