Summary:

This position is responsible for Industrial Hygiene activities in the USA. The Industrial Hygienist ensures that all Occupational Health (IH) related programs for Rogers' facilities in the USA are implemented and managed to meet regulatory compliance and Rogers best practice guidelines. This corporate role also maintains and continuously improves environmental, health and safety management systems.

Essential Functions:
  • Develop, implement, lead, and audit US IH programs and policies.
  • Determine sampling strategy and conduct workplace monitoring to meet regulatory requirements/Rogers' guidance, ensuring Rogers employees work in a safe environment.
  • Manage annual IH surveys at all Rogers US locations, including equipment management, lab coordination, report writing and employee notifications.
  • Analyze and interpret sampling data results and compare to exposure limits (e.g., PELs, ALSs, STELs, TLVs).
  • Identify and recommend controls to reduce exposure levels.
  • Assess new materials entering the manufacturing environment to determine potential health threats and ensure appropriate precautions.
  • Maintain current understanding of material hazards, regulations and best practice.
  • Develop and conduct training/mentoring on IH principles for site EHS engineers and factory employees as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Health/Management, or a Certification by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene as a Certified Industrial Hygienist. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
  • 2+ years of experience in Industrial Hygiene or a related field, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, NIOSH, ANSI and ACGIH standards.
  • Knowledge of ventilation systems.
  • Effective communication skills and comfort providing training for groups of employees and mentoring IH compliance programs to EHS professionals.
