Senior Environmental Professional | Project Manager
At Fuss & O'Neill, we are a multidisciplinary engineering and environmental consulting firm dedicated to creating lasting positive impact for communities and clients across Connecticut. We are seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Professional | Project Manager to lead complex projects, mentor staff, and build strong client relationships within our growing environmental practice.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage environmental projects from planning through completion, including site investigations, remediation, permitting, compliance, and brownfield redevelopment initiatives.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, maintaining strong relationships and delivering exceptional service.
- Provide technical leadership and oversight to multidisciplinary project teams.
- Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, staffing, and deliverables.
- Ensure all project work meets regulatory requirements, quality standards, and client expectations.
- Contribute to business development efforts through client interaction, proposal preparation, networking, and pursuit of new opportunities.
- Mentor, supervise, and support the growth of early‑career and mid‑level environmental professionals.
- Collaborate with internal teams across disciplines to deliver integrated solutions for clients throughout Connecticut and the Northeast.
- Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, civil engineering, environmental science, geoscience, or a related field.
- 8+ years of environmental consulting experience.
- Connecticut Licensed Environmental Professional (LEP) certification.
- Strong understanding of Connecticut environmental regulations and regulatory programs.
- Proven project management experience, including budget and schedule management.
- Demonstrated leadership and staff mentoring experience.
- Excellent communication, client management, and relationship‑building skills.
- Strong technical writing and report preparation skills.
