  • Develop and maintain the system models for transmission studies including collection, review and/or modification of a variety of electric system parameters
  • Conducts adequacy assessments and develops options to meet delivery objectives
  • Identifies key technical issues and develops solutions
  • Represents the department and the company on various industry related committees
  • Collaborates in the implementation and management of the life cycle plan for transmission assets
  • Communicates clearly and effectively verbally and in writing the results of analyses and action plan
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electrical preferred
  • Advanced degree preferred
  • 3 - 5 years of directly related experience
  • Experience with power system transmission analysis tools such as PSSE, TARA, ASPEN, PSCAD, or other similar analysis software
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python
  • Knowledge of new technologies including but not limited to photovoltaic solar, electric vehicles, and battery
  • Knowledge of electrical theory as applied to planning an electric power supply system
  • Knowledge of National, State and other planning standards and reliability criteria
