- Conduct traffic analysis and forecasting
- Perform traffic impact studies
- Contribute to the design of highway and road layouts
- Conduct speed studies
- Help implement complete streets designs
- Support securing necessary permits and approvals
- Assist with corridor modeling
- Estimate costs for transportation infrastructure construction projects
- Provide transportation support on large, multidisciplinary civil/site projects, including:
- Public schools design
- Collegiate/secondary education facility design
- Rail trail/bike path design
- Drainage & culvert design
- Bridge replacement projects
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- EIT registration preferred
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Micro Station, and Synchro is a plus
- Experience with construction and/or land surveying is a bonus
- Exposure to CTDOT standards is helpful but not required
Demonstrates expertise in traffic analysis, forecasting, and the design of transportation infrastructure, including highway layouts and complete streets. Proficient in securing permits and conducting studies related to civil engineering projects.
