Job Title and Details
Senior Engineer – Delta Airlines – Hartford, USA – $20-30 per hour.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, develop, and implement projects, fixes, and modifications for airplane interiors, including seats, restrooms, and galleys.
- Collaborate with partners such as Maintenance, Construction, Design, and Materials to coordinate projects and alterations.
- Write and review design reports related to projects, including emergency design fixes, activity approvals, and AMDS (Airplane Support Record Framework) work cards.
- Mentor junior design staff and centers to improve design records and support program execution.
- Ensure airworthiness and administrative compliance of designs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a project‑design environment.
- Strong focus on safety and security for self, others, and data.
- Excellent communication skills in both formal and informal settings.
- Ability to work closely with leaders, planners, experts, engineers, support staff, and internal and external clients.
- Critical thinking and problem‑solving skills with careful attention to detail.
- Experience with Delta frameworks (AMDS, Knowledge, OTIS, EARTH, Staff, etc.).
- Understanding of Delta’s Specialized Projects, Activities, and Systems.
- Knowledge of FARs and related performance and compliance requirements for components, materials, finishes, and combustibility.
- Prior experience in a commercial, military, OEM, or MRO setting.
- Background in design projects or program oversight.
- Involvement in configuration or supplemental test documentation.
