This is a hands on, customer facing role for someone who knows Swiss (sliding headstock) CNC inside and out and enjoys being the technical expert in the room.

We're hiring a Swiss CNC Applications Engineer to join a leading machine tool company supporting customers across turnkey projects, technical training, and pre-sale engineering for Swiss style lathes and other CNC machining equipment. This is a hands on, customer facing role for someone who knows Swiss (sliding headstock) CNC inside and out and enjoys being the technical expert in the room.
- Run turnkey projects, demonstrations, and customer related projects from start to finish, on time and within budget
- Support pre-sale activities including customer visits, opportunity evaluation, machine assessment, part processing recommendations, and turnkey proposal development
- Develop and deliver custom demonstrations, and train customers on the safe setup and operation of CNC machining centers, lathes, grinders, Swiss style lathes, and multi-tasking machines
- Prepare accurate cost estimates, write engineering reports, and interpret plans and specifications
- Travel to customer sites for on site training and engineering assistance
- Experience in Sliding Headstock (Swiss) CNC machine tool engineering and manufacturing
- In-depth knowledge of the machine tool industry and relevant product lines
- Knowledge of Fanuc based controls
- Strong judgment and the ability to think on your feet and make sound decisions on the spot
- Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed
- 5-axis machining experience
- CAD/CAM software experience
- $85,000 to $140,000 per year, based on experience
