The Box Office Supervisor oversees the event day operations of the Box Office, supervises box office ticket sellers, reinforces a guest-friendly attitude, handles guest inquiries and/or complaints, assists in preparing financial reports, and is responsible for opening and closing the box office at the Peoples Bank Arena and Pratt & Whitney Stadium.

This role pays an hourly rate of $17.50-$18.50.

The Peoples Bank Arena is Connecticut’s premier destination for sports & entertainment. The 15,000+ seat downtown arena is home to the eleven-time National Champion UConn Women's Basketball team and the six-time National Champion UConn Men's Basketball team. Led by Hall of Fame basketball Head Coach Geno Auriemma and Dan Hurley, the Men's & Women's basketball programs have established themselves as national powerhouses.

The Peoples Bank Arena is also home to the AHL’s Hartford Wolf Pack, the primary developmental affiliate of the New York Rangers. The Peoples Bank Arena entertains millions of visitors annually with a variety of concerts, family shows, ice-skating spectaculars, consumer events, and trade shows throughout the season. The venue has hosted a roster of world-renowned artists, including Taylor Swift, Justin Timberlake, Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Pearl Jam, Black Eyed Peas, Britney Spears, Drake, and others.

The Peoples Bank Arena will continue to be the center of sports and entertainment for Hartford and the State of Connecticut for years to come.

• Supervises and assists ticket sellers during event days/nights, including aiding with sale process, troubleshooting mobile ticket issues, and other ticketing needs
• Delegates job duties, prepares cash drawers, and calculates the daily ticket sales at the end of the shift
• Maintain and audit cash vault balance for accuracy, calculate daily revenue to coincide with receipts, and prepare and verify deposits accordingly
• Share responsibilities with other management to prepare ticket sellers’ schedules, update window displays, manage will call and guest services relocations, handle promoter inquiries, and run reports for events
• Compile end-of-day reports for the finance department
• Aid guests in person or via telephone with questions and problems relayed by ticket sellers
• Reinforce a guest-friendly attitude to ensure the highest level of customer service
• Oversee the physical appearance of the Box Office
• Perform other related duties as needed

• High school diploma/GED preferred
• Advanced experience with a computerized ticketing system
• 2-3+ years box office experience, including 1 year in supervisory role
• Advanced technology skills, including computers and smartphones
• Experience in an event-driven, fast-paced environment requiring on-the-spot problem solving
• Able to develop teamwork among ticket sellers and instill the highest level of customer service
• Excellent organizational and written/oral communication skills
• Ability to develop and train team members
• Intermediate computer knowledge, including spreadsheets
• Ability to prioritize and make decisions
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
