Ice Crew members are part of a professional, high-energy team responsible for maintaining the ice surface before, during, and after events. Candidates should have strong skating skills and an interest in hockey and ice maintenance operation.

This role pays an hourly rate of $18.11-$19.73 (per CBA).

This position will remain open until August 28, 2026.

Peoples Bank Arena is Connecticut’s premier destination for sports & entertainment. The 15,000+ seat downtown arena is home to the eleventh-time National Champion UConn Women's Basketball team and the six-time National Champion UConn Men's Basketball team. Peoples Bank Arena also hosts Hockey (AHL’s Hartford Wolf Pack) and a variety of concerts, family shows, ice‑skating spectaculars, consumer events, and trade shows.

• Assist in quick changes, which include the construction/deconstruction of the penalty and player boxes.
• Change out broken hockey glass during games.
• Skate and remove snow during media timeouts.
• Work safely, quickly, and efficiently to meet all deadlines.
• Maintain a positive, outgoing demeanor.
• Work independently and in a team environment.
• Perform all other tasks assigned by the Manager.

• Experience working in an ice rink setting preferred.
• Comfortable in front of large crowds.
• Proficient ice‑skating.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must arrive for each scheduled shift on time, in uniform, and ready to work.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects on a frequent basis.
