As a Transportation Operations Specialist (Motor), you will perform the following duties:
- Coordinates crash and accident reporting, commercial repairs and resolution of third party claims involving GSA Fleet vehicles, including all vehicle body and glass damage repair. Provides support to Federal Acquisition Service (FAS) customers through a national accident reporting and control system.
- Serves as primary point of contact (POC) for the Accident Management Center (AMC) function and exercises independent judgment to provide and gather factual and procedural information and data; answer questions from Fleet personnel, customers and vendors; identify problem areas/customer complaints, and monitor and coordinate the processing of accident reports and third party claims.
- Develops and/or provides recommendations to the supervisor to establish new, or revise existing work procedures, processes or methods. Prepares and delivers briefings to FAS/AMC management on issues such as completed studies and findings; recommended revisions to work methods, processes and techniques; customer service inquiries and recurring issues not responding to remedial action; required program evaluations and progress reports, etc.
- Receives calls from linked regions representatives, contractors, Federal agencies, Fleet Management Centers, repair facilities, service writers and vehicle operators concerning accidents and subsequent vehicle breakdown/damages. Ensures that information required to process vehicle accident reports is accurate and complete.
- Furnishes program information and provides technical assistance and guidance by reviewing and researching appropriate AMC records, claims, IT system data and other information resources such as history files, etc. Prepares related reports, correspondence and written analyses of AMC program activities and recurring issues, offering recommendations or suggestions for procedural changes to the AMC manager as appropriate.
