We are seeking a qualified or near‑qualified actuary with relevant experience to ensure AXA XL remains a leader in the field of P&C Programs Business.

What you’ll be doing
  • Help to ensure AXA XL is a leader in the field of programs due diligence and portfolio management
  • Support delivery of core tasks such as planning, rate monitoring, new programs profitability assessment, and core pricing metrics
  • Engage internally with Underwriting, Reserving and Capital Modelling, and maintain consistent external communication with AXA XL’s program partners
  • Stay abreast of regulatory and technological changes that affect pricing
  • Drive consistency in pricing and portfolio analysis across NA programs
  • Support NA program underwriters with regular reporting and ad‑hoc analysis
  • Work closely with the data team to provide insights to the pricing team, supporting the Head of Pricing, NA programs
  • Ensure compliance of pricing guidelines with the team
  • Report key metrics, including rate change and RRL, to the business

You will report to the Head of Pricing, Global Programs.

Required skills and abilities
  • Nearly or recently qualified actuary;
    Actuarial accreditation or ACAS preferred
  • Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
  • Significant experience using Excel
  • General understanding of actuarial pricing across diverse product lines
  • Knowledge of common reserving methodologies, assumption setting and techniques
  • Detail‑oriented with an appreciation for the real‑world vagaries of Programs business and third‑party data
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to gain buy‑in and clearly explain complex concepts to internal and external stakeholders
  • Self‑directed, able to work with minimal supervision and collaboratively within a global team
Desired skills and abilities
  • R programming skills (other coding experience a plus)
  • Significant experience in P&C insurance pricing or reserving
  • Working experience in the Programs space
Benefits and Compensation

The U.S. base salary range for this position is $85,000‑$149,000 USD.

Actual pay will be determined based on the applicant’s skills, experience and location, with a focus on market alignment and internal equity.
