Manager, Accounting - Corporate Accounting and Reporting

Annual base salary range: $85,600.00 – $. Salaries are determined by role scope, complexity, location, candidate skills, education, training, credentials, and overall market conditions. Eligible for performance‑based cash incentive awards.

• Compile, review, and analyze complex financial data for variance analysis, reporting, and accuracy.
• Develop and validate financial analyses for key performance metrics (production, profitability, expense management, staffing).
• Prepare and create components of overall business and financial plan, budget, and forecasts.
• Conduct reviews for accuracy and completeness; approve internal management‑based financial reporting, both routine and ad‑hoc.
• Conduct external reviews for financial statements (GAAP, SEC, STAT).
• Perform and review financial controls under Sarbanes‑Oxley requirements.
• Prepare and review complex documentation to support internal and external audits.
• Maintain compliance with financial external regulatory requirements and internal accounting policies.
• Participate in projects involving complex analysis and implementation of non‑complex regulatory changes (reorganizations, mergers, acquisitions).
• Provide coaching, training, and mentoring to collaborators.
• Assist in Essbase system updates and maintenance, including preparation of complex analysis and reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field.
• Three years of finance, accounting, financial planning, or related experience.
• CPA, CMA or comparable advanced professional education preferred.
• Experience with accounting theory and practice within the insurance and financial services industry.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to consult on projects and present information effectively.
• Strong data analysis skills; ability to interpret trends and provide insights and recommendations to business partners.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strategic thinking and sound judgment to resolve issues as they arise.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). Experience with financial reporting software (TM1, Essbase, Hyperion, etc.) is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of accounting and financial concepts applied to financial systems and processes.
