Financial Manager, Corporate Finance
Position Summary
The Aetna Mental Well-being Finance team is looking for a dynamic Lead Director who has strong leadership, business acumen, communication skills and will maximize collaboration to drive outcomes. They will take ownership and accountability of all day‑to‑day financial management of the Mental Well Being business, including leading a team and being a valued member of the business leadership teams. This is a leadership position within a fast‑paced environment providing the right individual with an opportunity to support the business in successfully delivering both long‑ and short‑term financial targets.
This role will report to the CFO, Aetna Shared Services.
- Oversee the financial execution and strategy for the organization, including managing forecast/budget and long‑term strategic plan, explaining monthly results and variances, owning the quarterly forecasting process, creating multi‑year strategic plans, evaluating capital investment asks, and sizing/tracking productivity initiatives.
- Ensuring business partner accountability through regular tracking and reporting of actionable metrics and results to achieve financial plans.
- Create an organizational culture with sound financial and governance processes.
- Lead process improvements to streamline forecasting processes and oversee the creation of metric‑driven financial and expense reports to generate strategic insights for leadership.
- Collaborate and create strategic partnership with business leaders and influence financially viable strategies.
- Provide support for a variety of finance / business needs, including the development of monthly and quarterly reporting packages, budget presentations for senior leadership, and day‑to‑day ad‑hoc analyses.
- 10+ years of relevant financial experience
- Track record that shows the ability to develop strategic plans, work in a cross‑matrix environment, adapt, and perform in an evolving environment.
- Strong analytical knowledge base and financial acumen, with proven ability to vision, strategize, and develop actionable tactics against key facts and data insights.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills with an ability to successfully balance business priorities and maintain a sense of urgency.
- Ability to problem‑solve, identify, and remove roadblocks, triage, and prioritize issues.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Healthcare, managed care or financial services experience.
- Overall P&L management and leadership with budgets, forecasts, financial analysis, trends, projections, and analytics.
- Development of plans and identification of risks and opportunities.
- Advanced degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
- Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
