Purpose and Summary

The overall mission of Investment Management is to actively manage Investment Portfolios (Health, Group Insurance and Large Case Pensions) in a manner that is prudent and consistent with preserving the Company's capital while maximizing investment income and total return relative to internal benchmarks within appropriate business, legal, economic, capital markets and regulatory constraints.

Position Summary

Candidate will provide general support for the Credit Research department, including helping with fundamental credit analysis, data gathering, financial modeling and ad hoc jobs within the department. Support the preparation of timely, written analyses on individual credits, sectors, or events. Follow credit markets and assist in analyzing portfolio performance. Ideal candidate will be skilled with Excel and other data management/AI tools.

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional to gain hands-on exposure to corporate credit analysis, portfolio strategy, and capital markets while working alongside experienced analysts and portfolio managers. The role offers a strong foundation for a long-term career in credit research and fixed income investing.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Credit Research Support:
    Assist senior analysts in conducting fundamental credit analysis across IG and HY corporate issuers, including financial statement review, covenant analysis, and peer benchmarking.
  • Financial Modeling:
    Build and maintain company-level financial models, including projections, leverage and coverage metrics, liquidity analysis, and recovery scenarios.
  • Market & Issuer Monitoring:
    Track earnings releases, rating agency actions, new issue activity, M&A, and other corporate events; summarize key takeaways for the team.
  • Daily Market Recaps:
    Contribute to daily IG and HY credit market meeting prep, including spread movements, new issue calendars, and sector news.
  • Data Management:
    Maintain internal databases, credit dashboards, and sector tracking tools; ensure accuracy and timeliness of inputs.
  • Written Output:
    Draft concise credit summaries, earnings recaps, and issuer notes for internal distribution to portfolio managers.
  • Ad Hoc Projects:
    Support thematic research, sector deep-dives, and special projects as directed by senior team members.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$67,980.00 - $

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
