Vice President Finance

JCW is recruiting for a well-established property-casualty insurance company seeking a Director of Finance to lead the Finance function supporting the organization's financial, operational, and strategic objectives. This is a high-visibility opportunity for a finance leader ready to be a true strategic partner to the C-suite within a regulated insurance environment while leading and developing a growing Finance team. This role is based in the Hartford, CT area with a hybrid work structure.

What You'll Do:

• Partner with the CFO and executive leadership to advance enterprise financial objectives and strategic initiatives
• Oversee financial reporting, audit, regulatory compliance, and governance activities
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance management across the organization
• Oversee treasury operations, cash management, banking relationships, and investment administration
• Manage regulatory reporting, reinsurance administration, and related statutory compliance activities
• Serve as a key liaison to external actuaries, auditors, regulators, and rating agencies
• Lead, develop, and mentor a team of finance professionals, building accountability and succession readiness

What They're Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required; CPA strongly preferred
• 10+ years of progressively responsible finance or accounting, including team leadership
• Deep knowledge of GAAP and STAT accounting frameworks
• Demonstrated experience partnering with executive leadership, boards/governing committees, auditors, and regulators
• Strong track record of building and leading high-performing finance teams
