• Manage Permit Authorizations:
  Review applications and process critical permits for stormwater discharges, ensuring all activities meet environmental standards.
• Ensure Compliance through Fieldwork:
  Move beyond the desk to perform on‑site inspections and analyze field data to ensure permit compliance.
• Develop Professional Communications:
  Prepare clear technical reports and professional correspondence that translate environmental data for a variety of audiences.
• Drive Compliance Assistance & Resolution:
  Identify issues during inspections and work directly with management and facilities to follow up on enforcement and successfully close out compliance issues.
• Assist with Regulatory Actions:
  Assist with research and provide informed recommendations for administrative enforcement.
• Analyze Technical Plans:
  Evaluate engineering plans, process flow diagrams, and maps to ensure project specifications align with environmental requirements.
• Engage the Public & Stakeholders:
  Research and develop informative presentations for public hearings and meetings with key stakeholders, state and federal officials.
• Represent the Agency:
  May act as a liaison for DEEP, providing technical assistance to municipal, federal, and other state agency partners.
• Support Team Objectives:
  Adapt to new challenges as they arise, supporting the team’s statutory responsibilities with a focus on continuous improvement. May perform other tasks as necessary to meet DEEP’s regulatory and statutory responsibilities related to discharges.

Please note, this position requires use of a state vehicle and travel, so applicants must have a valid driver's license.
