The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week, with a hybrid work schedule. DEEP's Water Planning and Management Division, Dam Safety Program, has jurisdiction over all non-federally owned or licensed dams in the state. The Dam Safety Program's ultimate responsibility is to ensure that all jurisdictional dams in the State are operated and maintained in a safe condition to prevent the loss of life and/or property.
DEEP maintains an inventory of over 4,800 dams in Connecticut. In addition, DEEP is the owner of approximately 270 dams, for which we are responsible for operation and maintenance, repairs, and upgrades. Please visit the Examples of Duties section for more information on the position.
