POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
- This position is full-time, following a first shift schedule, 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday, with opportunities for a hybrid schedule that includes telework.
- Location:
DEEP Headquarters, 79 Elm Street, Hartford, CT 06106. - The Hazardous Waste and Solid Waste Permitting program is responsible for developing general permits authorizing state-wide activities, developing new programs, policy development, technical assistance, and supporting the compliance monitoring and enforcement programs.
- The program also regulates the critical facilities that receive, recycle and dispose of waste materials in Connecticut.

The Solid and Hazardous Waste Permitting Program within the Waste Engineering and Enforcement Division is responsible for all aspects of permitting the construction and operations of solid waste and hazardous waste management facilities in the state, including reviewing applications, engineering drawings and technical documents in support of proposed operations.
