Introduction

THE POSITION

The State of Connecticut, Office of Policy and Management (OPM) is now hiring for a Nonprofit Policy Development Coordinator in Health and Human Services Policy and Planning Division (HHSPPD)!

HIGHLIGHTS

This is a full time (40 hours per week) position conveniently located in Hartford, CT easily accessible to all major highways.

* WORK HOURS:

Full-time, first shift, 40 hours per week

* SCHEDULE:

Monday through Friday

* Lead the development and operation of the Governor's Nonprofit Advisory Council, established with OPM, advancing strategies and policies to improve access, improve health outcomes, strengthen the state's nonprofit provider network, and promote the effective delivery of health and human services.

* Foster and strengthen partnerships with nonprofit providers to support data-driven best practices to maximize the impact of budgeted state resources and the financial sustainability for health and human services programs.

* Help measure the effectiveness of state human services programs delivered through nonprofit providers and recommend policy actions to enhance program and service outcomes.

ABOUT US:

At the State of Connecticut, Office of Policy and Management (OPM), we report directly to the Governor and provide information and analysis that the Governor uses to formulate public policy for the state. We also assist state agencies and municipalities in implementing the law and public policy on behalf of the people of Connecticut. We prepare the Governor's budget proposals; implement and monitor the execution of the enacted budget;

and oversee the executive branch agencies that report to the Governor.
