Position Purpose
Resource person responsible for Emergency Department bedside registration, collection of copayments, and collecting all patient demographic information. Processes include obtaining accurate demographic, insurance, and patient liability information.
Orientation & TrainingOrientation/Training is Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., for 2‑3 weeks.

Part time. Night shift. 24 hours per week, 11 p.m.–7:30 a.m., including every other weekend. Shift, weekend, and holiday differentials apply.
What You Will Do- Obtain approvals and payments on site
- Process includes obtaining accurate demographic, insurance, and patient liability information
- Responsible for the pre‑registration process of patient admissions
- Explain insurance and private pay liabilities; appropriately refer patients requiring financial counseling
- Accurately enter/update all patient demographic information, including insurance and patient liability; post payments to the appropriate screen and complete reconciliation reports
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurances
- Patient access hospital experience strongly preferred
- Part time 24 hours on 11 p.m.–7:30 a.m., including every other weekend – shift, weekend and holiday differentials apply!
- Orientation/Training is Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., for 2‑3 weeks
- 3rd week required for new hire with less than 1 year hospital‑based patient registration experience
