Position Summary
Are you interested in jump starting your clinical career? Then Mobile Crisis may be the right fit for you. We also offer licensure reimbursement and specialty trainings within the Mobile Crisis Intervention Services (MCIS) program and model. The Bilingual Crisis Clinician provides crisis assessment, intervention and stabilization clinical and case management services for children birth through age 17. The clinician will respond out in the community to provide crisis intervention services and safety planning.
May work with emergency departments, inpatient units and congregate care providers to identify and coordinate crisis and diversionary planning for high needs youth in need of intensive community-based planning to prevent multiple admissions to such settings and otherwise promote the use of MCIS to coordinate intensive plans for high needs youth.
Salary
Starting salary: $65,000
Bilingual Stipend: $4,576
Eligible for a $5k sign on bonus. Half paid upon hire and half after one year.

Schedule
Full-time 40 hours per week. Two afternoon/evening shifts per week required (2-10 pm and 11-7 pm). No on-call or weekend services. Possibility for hybrid work.
Education and Experience / Qualifications
Doctoral degree in Psychology or Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or Counseling. Candidate must be able to speak fluently in both English and Spanish.
Licensure Requirements for Clinical Positions
Must hold one of the following credentials to start employment: LMSW, LCSW, LMFTA, LMFT, LPCA, LPC or licensed or license-eligible Psychologist in the State of Connecticut. Valid Driver’s License is required. Safely operates vehicle in the community, based on program needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Conduits program-specific screening and evaluation, formulates diagnosis in accordance with the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM). Develops and documents clear clinical formulations, crisis and treatment plans that are individualized and measurable, developed in collaboration with the client/family and others as relevant. Demonstrates knowledge of psychopathology, crisis theory and other behavioral health concerns and primary modalities of psychotherapeutic intervention. Triages clinical emergencies and implements program-specific safety and consultation protocols.
Utilizes best practices and evidence-based practice models where appropriate and adheres to model and program expectations.
Provides mobile service in community settings outside of the office (e.g., homes, schools, hospitals, institutions, other community locations) as defined by the program. May transport clients to appointments or linkages as appropriate. Demonstrates knowledge of internal and external levels of care, referral processes and resources.
