* This position is full-time (40 hours/week), Monday - Friday. Employees are required to work an 8-hour shift schedule during our normal business hours of 7:00am - 7:00pm CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

We offer 2 weeks of paid training. The hours during training will be 8:30am - 5:00pm CST, Monday - Friday.

* Primary Responsibilities:

*
* + Initiates prior authorizations for outpatient medication injectables so members can receive medication in a timely manner

+ Take calls from providers regarding chemotherapy and specialty medication injectables as well as verifying HIPAA

+ Take calls from providers and enter services that they are requesting into the system

+ Must have accurate documentation and meet weekly metrics

+ Required shift bid every 6 months

+ Other duties as assigned

* Required Qualifications:

*
* + High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience

+ Must be 18 years of age OR older

+ 1+ years of experience in health insurance OR medical billing

+ Experience working with key performance indicators (average handle time, contacts per trans hour, quality, etc)

+ 1+ years of experience taking 40+ calls in a high-volume call center environment

+

Experience with computer and Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications

+ Ability to work Monday - Friday, in an 8-hour shift schedule during our normal business hours of 7:00am - 7:00pm CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

* Preferred Qualifications:

*
* + 1+ years of experience working with ICD 10, CPT & HCPS codes

+ Professional experience in a clerical OR administrative support related role

+ Pharmacy experience including working knowledge of prescription drug names

+ Experience working with Microsoft Word (creating, editing, saving documents)

+ Experience working with Microsoft Excel (creating, editing, saving spreadsheets)

+ Knowledge of medical terminology

+ Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy.

+ Must live in a location that can receive a United Health Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.
