This is a 6- 8 week contract/temporary assignment which will likely extend to a longer assignment. You'll be covering for a benefits employee on LOA.

Department Information:
The Benefits team is a key part of the People & Transformation Department. We manage all aspects of Employee Benefits, Wellness, Leave of Absence, Workers’ Compensation (WC) and Retirement programs for roughly 1,900 employees (1,600 US and 300 Canadian). We also manage U.S. benefits enrollment through ADP Vantage HCM, oversee all benefit communications, and collaborate closely with HR Business Partners, HR Operations, HRIS, and Payroll.
Overview:
This role will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of Employee Benefits and Retirement programs. Will perform a variety of duties in support of and report to Director, Benefits. Will oversee benefits administration including managing open enrollment process, providing input and executing on market surveys, researching and integrating reform and statutory updates, ensuring benefit compliance, and providing outstanding benefits support and escalation point for benefits team members, HRBPs, HR Operations and Payroll.
Will assist in creating SOPs for most benefit practices.
Must have:
Extensive Leave of Absence experience, ADP Vantage and Workday all REQUIRED
Summary
The Sr. Benefits Administrator is responsible for assisting with the administration our U.S. benefits program. This position serves as the first contact for employees with questions or issues regarding benefits. The Sr. Benefits Administrator will assist with preparing and conducting employee benefit orientation, managing benefit enrollment, status changes and terminations, and setting up employee benefits files in compliance with company and governmental regulations.
The Sr. Benefits Administrator also administers employee leave programs, including FMLA, STD, State PFML and ADA.

Key Metrics
- Provide ongoing support to employees with response time to phone calls and emails within 24-48hr. Same day preferred
- Timely and accurate invoice payment and eligibility/change reports to carriers by deadline. Prior to deadline date preferred
- Ensure no less than 95% accuracy in benefit enrollments, deductions, earnings by utilizing recurring preventive measures
Primary Accountabilities
- Provide ongoing support to Payroll & Compensation team, HR Dept. and team members
- Benefits enrollments, changes, open enrollment processes, terminations, and material distribution
- Assists with Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, FSA, and HSA, STD/LTD, Life Insurance administration
- Conduct new hire benefit orientations, including benefit presentations, webinars, and training to team members
- Educate team members of changes to the benefits structure and consult with them about eligibility and other issues
- Administers the Tuition Reimbursement program
- Resolves team members issues with insurance providers and other benefits administrators
- Assists with administrating Wellness initiatives/incentives
- Build positive relationships with vendors, including resolving administrative problems amicably
- Ensures confidentiality of records of all insurance, leave and personnel information
- Administrators LOA, FMLA, disability and State leave programs in conjunction with third-party administrator and standard operating procedures
- Ensures LOA and FMLA processes are completed in a timely manner and communicated accordingly
- Effectively interpret FMLA and ADA implications, as they relate to LOA and disability implications
- Reviews bi-weekly payroll deductions
- Ensures accuracy of employee benefits data, including service from third party vendors
- Ensure all premium payments are collected and all invoices are paid accordingly
- Works with Benefits vendor to resolve Benefits claim issues, including detailed reporting on self-insured claims
