  • Serve as a strategic business partner, Team Member advocate, change leader, and champion for engaged teams
  • Partner with the Regional Vice President to lead and impact a team of 25-30 District Managers and 300-350 Advance Auto Parts stores
  • Reinforce company culture, Advance values, and Code of Ethics
  • Oversee recruiting, staffing, interviewing, testing, and selection for exempt and non-exempt positions
  • Partner with District Managers and Area Recruiters on recruiting efforts and events
  • Monitor and analyze regional turnover and maintain quality Team Members
  • Ensure compliance with selection and job posting processes
  • Facilitate regional relocation and retail onboarding programs
  • Assess regional management development and training needs with the OD/Training Department
  • Support performance management and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Promote diversity, inclusion, and an equitable work environment
  • Oversee Team Member relations issues, investigations, corrective action, performance management, and succession planning
  • Investigate discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, wage/hour, and other potential legal matters
  • Monitor retention, engagement, and other HR metrics and develop action plans
  • Advise leaders on goal setting, performance reviews, evaluations, communication, and coaching
  • Help develop and implement retail HR policies, procedures, training, and communications
  • Partner on organizational design and lead change management initiatives
  • Monitor compliance with company policies, programs, federal, state, and local laws
  • Provide reports and timely HR information to business partners
  • Participate in regional meetings and report Team Member relations activities to the Area Human Resources Director and Regional Vice President
  • Advise on compensation and benefits issues and coach management on salary, bonus, merit, and reward recommendations
  • Develop Team Member recognition strategies to improve morale and engagement
  • Visit retail locations regularly to stay current on issues, initiatives, and operational processes
Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree in HR or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5-7 years HR or related experience
  • At least 3 years in a significant management/leadership role
  • Preferably experience in retail and/or corporate environments
  • Knowledge of state and federal employment laws, including EEO, FMLA, and Wage & Hour
  • Recruiting, interviewing, counseling/coaching, and training/presentation skills
  • High level of business/financial acumen
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, decision-making, development/planning, performance gap analysis, and conflict management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and champion change
  • Ability to travel as necessary
  • PHR or SPHR preferred
