AI Platform Engineer GCP

Overview

Akkodis is seeking an AI Platform Engineer with GCP for a Contract with a client in Hartford, CT
. This role requires strong GCP expertise to design LLM‑based autonomous agents and build scalable cloud‑native platforms supporting end‑to‑end AI workflows.

Rate Range: $64/hour to $68/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

• Design, build, and optimize LLM‑based autonomous agents to support reasoning, planning, and end‑to‑end task execution.
• Collaborate with data engineers and data scientists to architect and implement AI agentic solutions that automate business workflows.
• Develop, deploy, and maintain machine learning models—including supervised, unsupervised, deep learning, and generative AI approaches.
• Architect and manage secure, scalable, and reliable GCP cloud infrastructures using services such as GKE, Compute Engine, Cloud Run, Big Query, and Cloud Storage.
• Build Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC) using Terraform and implement CI/CD pipelines through Cloud Build, Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, or Git Lab.
• Automate provisioning, scaling, monitoring, and operational processes while ensuring strong security, networking, IAM, and SRE best practices.

• Bachelor’s or master’s in computer science, Data/AI Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 6–10 years overall in cloud/ML platform engineering with strong hands‑on GCP experience; 2–3+ years working with LLMs/agentic solutions preferred.
• Proven expertise designing and operating GCP architectures (GKE, Compute Engine, Cloud Run, Big Query, Cloud Storage, VPC) with IaC (Terraform) and CI/CD (Cloud Build/Jenkins/Git Hub Actions).
• Demonstrated experience building and deploying ML/GenAI solutions (Vertex AI, Python/FastAPI, LLMs & agent frameworks such as Lang Chain/Auto Gen/CrewAI) with strong security/SRE practices (IAM, KMS, SLIs/SLOs, monitoring).

Pay Details: $64.00 to $68.00 per hour
