Release Manager

Location:
Hartford, CT (3 days Onsite)

Pay rate: 43 on W2 or $51.5 on C2C (Max for onsite)
40 on W2 or 48 on C2C for Remote

Responsibilities
  • 7+ years of experience as a Release manager specializing in software application delivery and at least 2 years of exp in Healthcare industry.
  • Plan the release of project deliverables and manage the release lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including development, QA, and operations, to ensure smooth releases.
  • Coordinate with Change manager, incident manager.
  • Schedule and manage release windows and cycles across multiple portfolios or components.
  • Identify and mitigate risks that could impact release scope, quality, or timelines.
  • Conduct release readiness reviews, milestone reviews, and go/no-go assessments.
  • Develop and maintain release schedules, ensuring alignment with stakeholders and vendors.
  • Create and manage deployment plans, run books, and implementation strategies.
  • Oversee the execution of deployment plans and lead go-live activities.
  • Maintain a repository of release-related documentation, including procedures, dependencies, and notification lists.
  • Collaborate with release engineers to manage code merges, branches, and impacts.
  • Continuously improve release processes by identifying bottlenecks and implementing best practices.
  • Communicate release plans, updates, and changes to stakeholders effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with quality benchmarks and organizational standards.
  • Manage post-release activities, including reviews and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Utilize automation tools and scripts to streamline the release process and ensure efficiency.
  • Experience in Agile management.
Qualifications
  • ITIL Certificate preferred.
