- Design and implement advanced monitoring, automation, configuration management, and reporting functions to achieve a highly efficient, hands‑off infrastructure environment.
- Architect, install, configure, manage, and maintain internal server and virtual machine environments, networking components, storage solutions, and security infrastructure.
- Ensure adherence to rigorous change management processes, incident response protocols, and testing methodologies for all system and software modifications.
- Proactively anticipate, mitigate, identify, respond to, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues affecting systems and software.
- Document, address, and resolve all customer incidents, problems, and requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform regular system maintenance, including operating system and application patching, driver updates, and continuous performance monitoring.
- Develop comprehensive documentation for both new and existing systems, ensuring knowledge transfer and operational consistency.
- Provide exceptional customer service, actively seeking to understand and address customer needs through effective communication and collaboration.
- Mentor junior team members, fostering their growth and development within the organization.
- Develop and implement project plans, conduct risk assessments, and create robust contingency plans, including disaster recovery and business continuity planning, testing, and response.
- Define and document best practices and support procedures to enhance operational efficiency and consistency.
- Provide after‑hours support for infrastructure‑related emergencies and participate in occasional weekend maintenance activities.
- Assist with the evaluation, recommendation, and negotiation processes for hardware and software vendors.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and evidence.
- Engage with staff at a technical level, providing expert guidance and support as required.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing robust infrastructure solutions, encompassing monitoring, automation, configuration management, and reporting.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing and maintaining server environments (physical and virtual), networking infrastructure, storage devices, and security components such as firewalls.
- Strong understanding and practical application of change management processes, incident response, and system testing methodologies.
- Exceptional ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex technical issues across various systems and applications.
- Experience with routine system maintenance tasks, including patching, updates, and performance monitoring.
- Proficiency in creating clear, concise, and comprehensive technical documentation.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach.
