Overview

As a Senior Solutions Architect, you will serve as the focused technical lead and sales engineer for ePlus targeted product and service solutions, supporting the ePlus regional sales team to drive revenue creation and capture within the customer account portfolio. You will have the opportunity to work with our master architects, engineers, and consultants, to understand our clients’ needs and craft sustainable IT roadmaps to get them there.

Impact

A Senior Solutions Architect will be responsible for implementing network IT solutions including installation, upgrades and reconfigurations to our client’s local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), datacenters and cloud infrastructures.

The Essential Functions Of This Position Include
  • Provide deployment and implementation services of multi-vendor solutions
  • Act as the primary technical lead for projects involving several engineering teams, overseeing planning, workload distribution, technical decision-making, and successful project outcomes
  • Provide expertise in assessment of customer environments and make recommendations for functionality, capacity, performance, and resilience
  • Provide written documentation including configurations, procedures and high-level and low-level network design diagrams (HLD/LLD)
  • Be an escalation point for teammates and help manage project issues
  • Stay current with vendor offerings and technology
  • Serve the customer to ePlus’ standards
  • Be available as a resource to pre-sales to guide and validate jobs
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience providing technical leadership to engineering teams
  • Proven experience leading large-scale network modernization or migration projects.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills including the ability to translate complex technical concepts for executives and stakeholders
  • Strong vendor management and ability to lead technical discussions with partners and customers.
  • Ability to mentor engineers, teach best practices, and guide architectural decision-making
  • Proven ability to lead troubleshooting efforts during high-severity incidents
  • Must be fully knowledgeable and able to design and plan, implement and support IT solutions using a majority of the following technologies:
  • Networking (routing and switching) including Cisco Catalyst and Nexus, Meraki, Aruba, Extreme, Arista
  • Cisco Catalyst Center and Cisco ISE, including SDA fabric design, device onboarding, policy orchestration, and SGT-based segmentation
  • WiFi including Cisco, Meraki, Aruba Central and Juniper MIST
  • Firewall/ Security including Cisco Meraki, Palo Alto and Fortinet Cisco ACI, including fabric setup, policy modeling, and tenant/VRF design
  • 8–12+ years of progressive experience in enterprise networking, network architecture, and technical leadership.
  • Multiple Industry recognized Certifications. i.e.: CCNA, CCNP, PSE, ACE
  • CCNP Enterprise, CCNP Security, or CCNP Wireless (highly desirable)
  • CCIE (Enterprise/Security/Wireless) strongly preferred.
  • Additional certifications such as AWS/Azure Architect, CWNP, or Palo Alto Networks certs are a plus
  • Ability to travel to customer locations, primarily in New England region
  • Professional customer service skills on video conference and in person
Position Specifics

The base salary range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $120,000 and $170,000 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including commissions and discretionary bonuses, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and personal leave), dependent on the position offered.
